Influenced by the original stone, which dates back to the 5th century, this stone sundial accurately depicted time through the shadows cast by the sun on a graduated plate. Each radial line on the semi circle plate represented the time of the monastic day - roughly 3 hour time periods. The original is a special piece of Dingle, as one of the small number of sundials made in Ireland during early medieval time.

Each pendant is meticulously handcrafted, allowing you to personalize it with your own name in the original Ogham script on the back. Complete with an 18 inch chain and a leaflet detailing the rich history of the Ogham script, this unique and exquisite piece also has matching earrings available.
